Last weekend was extremely hot for many places and Calgary was one of them. The weather is great for the fun and small but great festivals that are held locally throughout the late summer months. If your weekend is one of those “there’s nothing to do” and you do not want that, check out the Marda Gras Street Festival in Marda Loop on 33rd Ave SW in Calgary, Alberta this upcoming Sunday August 12th.

It starts at 10 in the morning and ends at 5 in the early evening and will be ten blocks long. The greatest part of this event is the FREE entrance, no price for anyone.  It’s a great opportunity for bloggers to snap shots for their blogs, photographers to take amazing photography, for people to “insta-twitt” (our short word for instagramming and twittering), shopping along with fashion, fun events for family, tons of music and mainly for anyone who enjoys the heat, sun, bright colors and festivals!
